A client told me this morning that I may have inadvertently sent them a link to a porn site. After thinking for a minute, I realized I had sent a few links to social bookmarking sites and happened to include Pixrat, a social bookmarking site for photography. And sure enough, when I went to the site, there were three straight pages of borderline porn. (Before you all get excited and rush off, this has since been removed.)
Porn or no porn, I can’t help but think that a) the app was released a little too early into production, and b) it’s receiving a bit more attention than it warrants in its current state. To the developers’ credit, they seem to be very receptive to improving the app based on constructive feedback – a post on their blog even addresses the racy content issue. For that, I guess I’ll get off their back and give them a link. Just be warned that you might see some skin.
