I’ve recently caught the attention of a digg troll, a new species of web troll that vehemently defends his adopted home, digg.com. Digg a post not deemed proper news, and a troll bellows BLOG SPAM.
By and large, this is good – the trolls are part of the community that moderate the links and keep the site useful. But what if I’m a geek, and I get my ‘news’ from blogs? What if I’m a big geek, and I digg blog posts I find interesting? Am I contaminating the institution? My personal troll thinks so.
