There are days that I don’t expect to get anything done. Today opened up that way. A scheduled Wellstream roll-out made me think I was going to miss lunch, so I made a run to McDonald’s knowing that a) they’re only a few minutes away and b) they’re currently featuring the McRib sandwich. By the time I realized I actually did have time to get something real, I’d already taken care of my barbecue smothered alternative.
After realizing that I couldn’t come up with the word “prefix” later this afternoon, I decided to ask an expert if I could blame my lunch for my fuzzy head. His answer:
About the McRibs–given that you had roughly 16 ounces of class F meat and you have approximately 36 feet of colon…my prediction is that you’ll carry that food longer than your wife carried your first child…
I’m not sure if that applies to my original question, but maybe it will make more sense after the McRibs wear off.

Classic Hunnicutt. That one goes in the archives.
At least you didn’t just eat a loaf of white bread. You probably wouldn’t have been able to answer the phone.
From what I’ve read, and from personal experience, protein is actually good for concentration. That being said, there is definitely something to be said for reasonable quantities and quality as well.
Have you seen ‘Supersize me’ yet? Eye-opening stuff. Looks like ‘Fast-Food Nation’ will be good too.
There may have been some lemon poundcake involved as well – I have to think there’s entirely to much sugar involved to make that a bad thing though (how could anything that tastes so good be bad for you?)
I’ve been waiting for Supersize me and An Inconvenient Truth to hit PPV, so maybe sometime in 2009 I’ll get to see them.
The way I see it, if you ate a six-inch McRib and have 36 feet of colon, you should just be getting warmed up! Bring on the Meatnormous, baby!
