We’re getting propositioned by all kinds of pretty girls in the workplace lately.
Hate to kill a perfectly good rumor before it has time to run, but pretty girl in the workplace is just [non-sexist] code for anyone who’s difficult to say “no” to. (For the record, it’s a reference plucked from tv land.)
Friends, family, constant acquaintances, etc can all lure you towards projects you should know to steer clear of, and it almost never goes well.
We’re still learning to spot the conflict before it becomes one, but it never feels good to tell a friend you can’t help.
Anyone else run into this?
