    Wow, that’s REALLY bad. I’m pretty sure Analytics & Adwords don’t do that, you would think Maps gets quadruple the requests and they would have it taken care of.

    Yeah, I go to /reader daily and /analytics almost as often. Crazy they wouldn’t alias the directory. Even crazier they use a dead-end 404 page.

    Nice. I’m a huge proponent of hackable URLs. I just had a ‘discussion’ with the other developers on my team about them. I was outnumbered, but stood firm and the others finally caved to my stubbornness. I completely believe that power users should be able to turn the address bar into their own mini command line.
