iPhone availability map

A map of the world shows the rapidly growing iPhone availability. Wish you could actually activate them in all of these places.

No kidding. Do you have any secret info on when we can get one working in Sioux Falls? We heard a rumor that Long Lines could carry it, but it turned out to be untrue.

What have you heard? I know you could buy and activate in Minneapolis, but you’d essentially be roaming all the time.

@Deane, I live in Vermillion. Picked up the iPhone in Sioux City. Coverage is kinda spotty here, but I’ve had a pretty good signal in Sioux Falls and the main roads of SD. I haven’t run into any roaming issues. AT&T phones work on the Long Lines network, but yeah, you can’t get the phone through them.

One other bummer, whether you get it in the Cities or in Sioux City, you probably wouldn’t be able to port your number (if it’s local). Kinda screwy, but I guess they can only take numbers if they have a store in the area that your number is associated with. Might have to double check on that one though.

Overall, the signal down here gets annoying at times, but iPhone awesomeness has made up for it. Good luck getting your hands on one!
